Roxanne Carter has been employed with REMSA Inc. since 2005. She holds a M.S. of Biology from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. Ms. Carter has a GIS Spatial Analysis of Coastal Environments Certificate, OSHA Hazwoper 40hr Certification and a NMFS approved Marine Endangered Species Observer and Trawl Supervisor.
Roxanne is the Director of REMSA’s Coastal and Marine Services Division. She recruits, staffs, bids, trains, works and overall project oversight for the endangered species environmental compliance jobs for marine construction jobs primarily dealing with dredging activities. She researches and bids projects with commercial and government clients for work along the East & Gulf Coasts. Most of the work revolves around marine endangered species environmental compliance - essentially being the “Turtle Girl/Boy” on board hopper and bucket dredges.
Ms. Carter actively participates in animal rescue and is most recently involved with VIMS volunteering with the sea turtle stranding network. Some of her favorite past-times are gardening and enjoying spending time with her two dogs.
